Balance Partnership believes that any assignment is a team-focused process. Whether you are a senior client contact, a departmental manager or a support supervisor, we understand the importance of communicating well with people, and to what extent our involvement affects them personally. Here are a few first-hand perspectives from key operational heads of department.
Having worked with a contractor for a number of years and then having to consider my management career working in-house at the same location, I put myself forward and was subsequently given the opportunity to manage the new operation. With the support from my Bursar, the School and the School's consultants Balance Partnership, we now have a totally motivated, refreshed and a happy team. We have total control over our suppliers and fewer restrictions on buying competitively priced products from local companies.
One of the most important parts of my job as Production Manager in a busy operation is to have meaningful control systems to work with. When we changed our control systems to those provided by consultants Balance Partnership, it was important for me to be able to make my own amendments to the system in order to give me true ownership for my reports and performance data for my manager. Overall, I believe that with my own input, we now have systems in place that not only provide me with information I need today, but importantly allows me to have the flexibility to change things to suit my own needs into the future.
One of the major benefits to me in my position is having the opportunity to buy local products with no restrictions! The quality is amazing and the pupils are always commenting on this. The School welcomes that we support the local community, especially as this reduces our carbon footprint. With initial guidance from Balance Partnership we now have the opportunity to talk personally to our suppliers and keep the prices that they charge to a closely-monitored and competitive level, thus helping me with my budget.
